Prime Video has officially renewed Hazbin Hotel, and this time, it’s for the endgame. The popular adult-animated musical series will return for Season 5, its final season, as the announcement was made during a panel at LVL UP Expo.
Prime Video renews Hazbin Hotel for fifth and final season
Hazbin Hotel Season 5 will be the final one of the series created by Vivienne Medrano, as per Prime Video. The show, which streams globally on Prime Video, has steadily built a strong following thanks to its YouTube origin and subsequent distinct adaptation.
At its core, the series follows Charlie, the princess of Hell, who is determined to solve Hell’s overpopulation problem, unusually, aka by rehabilitating demons so they can enter Heaven. She opens a hotel to make that idea a reality, even as most of Hell dismisses her as naive. Still, Charlie pushes forward with support from her partner, Vaggie, and their first client, Angel Dust. Accompanying her is also the powerful and unpredictable Radio Demon, who steps in, giving her mission a real shot.
The show began as a YouTube pilot in 2019, where it gained traction and racked up over 120 million views. That early success translated into a full-fledged series, produced by A24 and Bento Box Entertainment in association with FOX Entertainment. Its mix of adult humor, bold storytelling, and musical elements has helped it stand out in the streaming space.
Reacting to the renewal, Medrano said, “I’m so thankful for how Prime Video has championed our vision at SpindleHorse, and I’m grateful for their partnership and commitment to bringing Hazbin Hotel to its epic conclusion. I’m so excited for fans to see how this story ends.”
The Hazbin Hotel universe has already expanded beyond the show. In 2025, Hazbin Hotel: Live on Broadway brought its music to the stage, with performances tied to the Season 2 premiere. The special is now available to stream on Prime Video.
With Prime Video renewing Hazbin Hotel for a final season, Season 5 will now show how Charlie’s story will wrap up after years of buildup.
