Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk has worn many faces across his decade in the MCU, but new set photos from Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 suggest the Kingpin of Crime is trying on his most unexpected look yet.
Kingpin has a big beard in Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 set photos
Vincent D’Onofrio has been spotted filming Season 3 of Daredevil: Born Again in New York City with a striking new look. The actor sports a thick white beard, a casual shirt, a long winter jacket, and a beanie. This marks the first time in D’Onofrio’s 11-year MCU tenure that his version of Fisk has worn facial hair.

The set photos, shared by @_DaredevilShots on X via Getty Images, show the Kingpin standing on a sidewalk looking far removed from his trademark suit and tie. Faded campaign posters for Sheila Rivera’s mayoral run are visible in the background of the images. The Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer already confirmed that Rivera successfully takes office as the new mayor.
Wilson Fisk’s beard hints at a potential time jump after Daredevil: Born Again Season 2
Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again still has two episodes remaining before its conclusion on Disney+. In the most recent episode, Daredevil defeated Mayor Fisk in combat but was unable to arrest or kill him. As of now, there are no official reports about what role Fisk will play next season. Fisk recently alluded to stepping down from the mayoral position before the current season ends.
D’Onofrio recently addressed how Vanessa’s death will affect his character going forward. “I think it damages him in a deep, deep way,” D’Onofrio said (via Collider). “I think that it’s going to take some doing to shock himself out of that somehow.” Season 3 will also reunite the Defenders for the first time since 2017 with the return of Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, and Finn Jones.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is expected to debut on Disney+ sometime in 2027.
