Kill Blue Plot Details
Kill Blue offers an interesting premise in shonen anime. According to the story preview via the official website, the main character, Juuzou Oogami, is one of the most successful hitmen of all time, with a 100% success rate. However, his life takes an unexpected twist when he gets stung by a strange wasp during a job, triggering a weird reaction that transforms his body into that of a child.
And just shortly after that incident, he receives his next assignment, which is completely unexpected – to infiltrate a middle school. This leads to many funny moments in which Juuzou’s assassin instincts and skills collide with everyday school activities. As Oogami attempts to piece together what has happened to him, he is faced with the difficulties of completing his schoolwork, developing friendships, and dealing with deadly threats from his past.
So the series is basically a blend of action, comedy, and character-driven storytelling – something that sets it apart from typical battle-heavy anime.
Kill Blue Trailer
The trailer does a great job setting the tone for the entire series. In a matter of seconds, we see Oogami shift from thrilling action sequences to hilarious moments at school, underscoring how ridiculous it is for him to be in a child’s body.
We also see that his assassin abilities remain, despite his younger body. The animation style provides fantastic expressive character reactions that match the show’s humor perfectly.
Where to Watch Kill Blue
The anime will be available on multiple major streaming platforms, including Netflix, Crunchyroll, and Amazon Prime Video, alongside several other regional services (via @KillBlue_en on Twitter/X). Crunchyroll, in particular, is the best platform to watch the series, as it releases episodes shortly after the Japanese television broadcast, providing international viewers with very timely access.
