Mystery Box
The primary way to obtain Meltan in Pokémon Go is by using the Mystery Box. To begin, download Pokemon Home on your iOS or Android device. Open the app, and sign in with your Nintendo account, or create one if you don’t already have one.
Once that’s set up, return to Pokémon Go, open the Settings menu, navigate to Connected Devices and Services, and select Pokémon Home. Sign in using your Nintendo account there as well. After your accounts are connected, go back to Pokémon Go and tap on Send Pokémon. Transfer any Pokémon you don’t need to Pokémon Home. When you complete the transfer, you will receive a Mystery Box. Open your Item Storage and activate it.The Mystery Box functions similarly to Incense, but it exclusively attracts Meltan. For the next 60 minutes, this rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go will spawn around regularly throughout the 60-minute activation window.
