Elizabeth Olsen’s involvement in Avengers: Doomsday may not be officially confirmed yet, but that doesn’t mean that Scarlet Witch won’t have an important role to play in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie.
Who will be Doctor Doom’s most-important ally in Avengers: Doomsday?
Much has been reported by scoopers about Doctor Doom’s team in Avengers: Doomsday, which will be made up of “five powerful followers”: Doctor Strange, Clea, Scarlet Witch, a shapeshifter who takes the form of Peggy Carter, and Master Hulk. All five will reportedly wear costumes similar to Doom, with face masks shielding their identities.
Notable scooper Cryptic HD QUALITY recently hinted on X that Scarlet Witch will be Doom’s most-important ally in Doomsday, sharing part of a comic featuring Magneto telling his son and Scarlet Witch’s twin brother, Pietro, that “the only person more powerful than Doom is your sister [Wanda].”
Magneto continued, “Wanda possesses the unique ability to transform reality to suit her whim. So, whoever controls Wanda controls the very fabric of existence.” Insider Alex Perez of the Cosmic Circus reposted Cryptic HD Quality’s X post, which adds validity to the scoop.

It has previously been rumored that Doomsday will end with Doctor Doom succeeding in destroying the Multiverse and rebuilding it into Battleworld, with him as its ruler. Further rumors state that Avengers: Secret Wars will feature Scarlet Witch as a prisoner of Doctor Doom, who is using the character’s chaos magic to “hold Battleworld together and maintain the structure of the new multiverse.”
With reports that Olsen is set to perform some ADR for Doomsday next month, it’s beginning to look like Scarlet Witch will have an important role in the MCU crossover after all. After Marvel Studios led fans to believe that the character had perished at the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, burying herself under Mount Wundagore, the fandom will be excited to learn that the studio still has plans for Scarlet Witch in the MCU.
Avengers: Doomsday will be released in theaters on December 18, 2026, followed by Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17, 2027.
