The wait is almost over. The release date for the first Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer has reportedly been revealed, and it’s coming soon.
While there had been some speculation that Sony was waiting until next month’s CinemaCon to drop the Brand New Day trailer (where the first teaser for 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home was dropped), it looks like Marvel fans won’t have to wait quite that long to see the first footage from the highly anticipated return of Tom Holland’s webslinger.

According to scooper The Beyond Reporter on X, “The first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be officially released online next Wednesday.”

This means that Marvel fans have to wait less than a week for the long-awaited trailer, which Sony will release online on March 18, 2026. Circle those calendars to mark the date, Spidey fans!
Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks Holland’s seventh appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Production on the superhero sequel lasted from August to December 2025, with Destin Daniel Cretton in the director’s chair.
While plot details remain under wraps, the movie will be set four years after the events of No Way Home, allowing for Holland to play a far more experienced and established Spider-Man. It’s believed that the sequel will open with a fast-paced montage featuring Spidey battling several minor villains like Boomerang and Tarantula to show fans what the webslinger has been up to in the years since No Way Home.
As for the rest of Brand New Day, Marvin Jones III’s crime boss Tombstone is slated to be the main antagonist, with Michael Mando’s Mac Gargan/Scorpion and Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner/Hulk serving as secondary antagonists. The latter will reportedly be going on a villainous rampage through New York City after being manipulated by mutant Jean Grey.
Sadie Sink is likely playing Jean Grey, although Marvel Studios and Sony have yet to officially confirm who the actor is playing in Brand New Day. Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle/The Punisher is also part of the picture, and will reportedly be protecting Jean from Damage Control, who will be led by Tramell Tillman’s William Metzger, who in the comics is primarily an X-Men villain.
The rest of the Brand New Day cast includes returning stars Zendaya (as MJ) and Jacob Batalon (as Ned), as well as MCU newcomer Liza Colón-Zayas. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theaters on July 31, 2026, as part of Phase 6 of the MCU.
