The renewed demand comes after images from the project were released online. The release of the photos quickly sparked discussion on social media, with many fans expressing renewed excitement about the project. Some viewers also used the moment to call once again for the movie to receive a theatrical release.

The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender was initially planned as a theatrical release. However, Paramount Pictures later revised its distribution plans earlier this year. The studio now intends to release the film on Paramount+ in the fall. However, an exact premiere date has not yet been announced.
The change in release strategy also prompted an online petition from fans who urged the studio to reconsider and release the film in theaters. The petition stated, “As a lifelong fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender, when I heard the announcement that Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender was being removed from theaters, I was extremely disappointed.”
The upcoming project continues the story introduced in Avatar: The Last Airbender and takes place years after the events of the original series.
