What happened in Blue Lock Chapter 335?
The previous chapter begins with Renoir, France’s goalkeeper, preparing to throw the ball across the field. Reo, Aryu, and Aiku notice the attempt and warn the other players about it. Loki runs towards the other side of the field to receive the ball. On the stands, Anai is worried about Japan’s continuous failures and asks Ego whether they should switch players. However, he doesn’t reply.
Back on the field, Loki gets the balls and runs past the Japanese players. Chigiri tries to catch up and block him, but Loki just brute-forces through him. Karasu, Japan’s goalkeeper, intercepts the ball, which takes Loki by surprise. Both Karasu and Chigiri appreciate each other’s moves. Instead of passing, Karasu dribbles the ball, making his way to the other side.
Meanwhile, Isagi is contemplating the situation. He worries about not helping his team and starts to believe that he should strive to become number two, as Hugo told him to. But he snaps back to reality, insisting that he’ll be number one. He asks Karasu to pass the ball to him.
Karasu refuses to pass the ball to Isagi, understanding that the team can’t rely on him anymore. So, Karasu decides to change himself and become the second-best player on the team. He moves with a god-like speed, while Isagi tries to catch up. Everyone on the Japan and France team acknowledges Karasu’s sudden change.
Karasu declares that he’ll help his team win the match, but not as a striker. He notices where his team players are placed, and in a shocking move, he passes the ball, acknowledging that his team needs an extraordinary striker. The ball ends with Hiori, who gives a nod to Karasu.
