The sheer success that the new Absolute Universe continuity has been witnessing is nothing short of extraordinary. And due to that success, the copies of many of these titles are no longer available for purchase to new readers trying to get in. Thus, seeing the record-shattering demand, they have decided to send 50 issues from this continuity for reprinting (via AIPT).
Every single title has more than 3 issues being reprinted for recirculation to the retailers, which is a clear indication of just how well these DC titles are being received by the readers across the globe.
The Absolute Universe’s Success Stems From Being Creator-Driven

Coming in and almost flipping the entire script on the coming book industry, DC’s Absolute Universe has brought in a wave of reader enthusiasm that wasn’t seen for a long time. And the flagbearer in this endeavor is none other than the Absolute Batman, which has become the highest-selling title among its sister titles.
And with its writer, Scott Snyder, being the overseer of the entire continuity, he was asked by Popverse at the 2025 NYCC about his vision for the Absolute Universe. Here, Snyder revealed that what the fans wanted and needed the most out of comics was creators making something that they were extremely passionate about, as opposed to making it strictly for corporate, saying:
That sort of wave, where all the Absolute titles, and the Ultimate universe titles, Energon Universe, all that stuff, is bringing in so many new readers. You realize they’re just hungry for passionate, original takes on this stuff. And it doesn’t mean throwing out the main universe or doing anything like that. It just means bold, visionary takes. Whether they’re in continuity, out of continuity. But not corporate-driven spinoff stuff quite as much in my opinion. Really organic kind of creator-driven work
And putting that thought into practice with an amazing level of creativity with every writer and artist from all the titles gave a reinvigoration to the comic book industry that was never expected.

With six currently running titles in the conctinuity with six different superheroes from DC, the choices are endless as to which copy you should pick from the Absolute Universe, with the reprints coming out in March.
If you are a fan of sheer badassness and total unrestricted brutality, then the reinvention of the Caped Crusader in Absolute Batman will suit your fancy. If a more gritty and exploratory environment, filled to the brim with struggle and strife, is your jam, Absolute Superman’s new story is what you should pick up first.
With Absolute Wonder Woman, you will find the deconstruction and reimaging of a proud and mighty Amazon warrior into a truly outstanding princess who possesses the quality to lead. On the other hand, Absolute Flash is all about responsibility and carrying on a legacy that was forced upon you by someone who believed in you.
Absolute Green Lantern is focused more on the cosmic horror and mystery side of things, mixed with everything related to the extraterrestrial and sci-fi fantasy. And last, but not least, if you are interested in a total mindf*ck of philosophical and metaphysical storytelling with extremely surreal artwork, then nothing is better than Absolute Martian Manhunter.
