Alan Ritchson stars as 81, an Army combat engineer who gets assigned that number when he opts for the Ranger selection program. After they encounter the deadly alien killing machine, 81 must find a way to save them and the world. Despite being a trainee, he is seen leading the group in the trailer as the otherworldly threat pits human skill against an advanced, lethal adversary.
The film stars a robust ensemble cast, including Dennis Quaid, Stephan James, Jai Courtney, Esai Morales, Keiynan Lonsdale, and Daniel Webber, among others, all portraying soldiers whose rigorous training becomes their only hope for survival.

Netflix has officially confirmed that War Machine will be released worldwide on March 6, 2026. Instead of a theatrical rollout, the film is designed for streaming, and audiences across the world can experience it.
Lionsgate, along with Hidden Pictures, Huge Film, Range Media Partners, and Emu Creek Pictures, produced the film. Hughes produces alongside Todd Lieberman, Beaufort. According to USA Today, Hughes reportedly would find the most dangerous places on earth and tell Ritchson to jump.
