Phasmopohbia has 27 ghosts for you to identify, each with distinct evidence, unique tests, speed, and behavior. With that said, let’s take a look at each of them –
1. Banshee
Evidence: Spirit Box, DOTs, and UV
Hunt Sanity: 50% – Hunts based on the target’s sanity
Hunt Speed: 1.7 m/s
Abilities:
33% para-mic scream
15% Sanity drain if touched during the singing event
Prefers singing events
Can’t change favorite room
100% roam to target during DOTs
Will only target 1 player if inside and alive
2. Mare
Evidence: Orbs, Writing, and Spirit Box
Hunt Sanity: 40% Lights on and % 60% Lights off
Hunt Speed: 1.0-2.75 – slows as it ages
Abilities:
Can’t turn on the light
Can immediately turn off the light
Will roam away from the lights
Can’t turn off the lights
Prefers turning off lights and light-breaking events
3. Demon
Evidence: Orbs, Freezing, and UV
Hunt Sanity: 70%
Hunt Speed: 1.7
Abilities:
Can hunt 60s after smudged rather than the usual 90s
Can hunt 20s after last attempt/hunt instead of usual 25s
Crucifix range increased by 50%
4. Moroi
Evidence: Writing, Freezing, and Spirit Box
Hunt Sanity: 50%
Hunt Speed: 1.5-2.25 – Faster when average sanity is lower
Abilities:
Guaranteed spirit box
Places a curse on the player via the spirit box/para-mic, which drains sanity x2.
Incense blindness increased by 50% during hunts
5. Deogen
Evidence: Writing, DOTs, and Spirit Box
Hunt Sanity: 40%
Hunt Speed: 0.4-3.0- Faster when far away, slows to 0.4 when near the player
Abilities:
33% heavy breathing spirit box
Always has LOS with the player during hints, cannot hide
Guaranteed spirit box

Evidence: Writing, EMF 5, and UV
Hunt Sanity: 50%
Hunt Speed: 1.7
Abilities:
Can’t be heard until 12m away during hunts
Increased sound through para-mic
7. Goryo

Will never do airball events
more active around multiple players

11. Jinn

Hunt Sanity: 50%
Hunt Speed: 1.7/2.5 0 2.5 when breaker is on, has LOS and -3m
Abilities:
Can’t turn off the breaker
If breaker Oo, can drop nearby player’s sanity 25% with EMF 2 or EMF 5 at the breaker
12. Onryo
Evidence: Orbs, Freezing, and Spirit Box
Hunt Sanity: 60%
Hunt Speed: 1.7
Abilities:
Will attempt hunt at any sanity after extinguishing flame 3 times
Priorities blowing out flames over crucifixes in attempting hunts
More likely to extinguish the more players that are dead
13. Phantom
Evidence: Spirit Box, DOTs, and UV
Hunt Sanity: 50%
Hunt Speed: – 1.7 m/s
Abilities:
Doesn’t appear in photos
Taking a photo will cause the ghost to disappear
Less visible during hunts
Will lose 0.5 sanity/s in the heartbeat range of the ghost during hunts
14. Thaye
Evidence: Orbs, Writing, and DOTs
Hunt Sanity: 75%
Hunt Speed: 1.0-2.75 – slows as it ages
Abilities:
Ages every 1-2 minutes while the player is nearby
More active when younger
Age response increases on the Ouija board
15. Poltergeist
Evidence: Writing, Spirit Box, and UV
Hunt Sanity: 50%
Hunt Speed: 1.7
Abilities:
Will throw an item every 0.5 seconds during hunts with long range
Higher chance of throwing objects
Poltergeist explosion
16. The Mimic
Evidence: UV, Freezing, and Spirit Box
Hunt Sanity: 12%-100% depending on the currently mimicked ghost
Hunt Speed: Copies the speed of the currently mimicked ghost
Abilities:
Guaranteed orbs
Changes ghost behavior every 30-180 seconds
Copies the behavior of other ghosts
17. Raiju
Evidence: EMF 5, DOTs, and Orbs
Hunt Sanity: 50% and 66% if near active player equipment
Hunt Speed: 1.7 / 2.5
Abilities:
Causes electronic disturbance from electronic hunts instead of 10m
18. The Twins
Evidence: Spirit box, EMF 5, and Freezing
Hunt Sanity: 50%
Hunt Speed: 1.53-1.87
Abilities:
Can do 2 interactions at the same time. One is in the normal range, and one is in the extended range.
19. Revenant
Evidence: Orbs, Freezing, and Writing
Hunt Sanity: 50%
Hunt Speed: 1.0 / 3.0
Abilities:
It will gradually slow down again once it reaches the player’s last known location.
20. Wraith
Evidence: EMF 5, DOTS, and Spirit Box
Hunt Sanity: 50%
Hunt Speed: 1.7
Abilities:
Will never interact with salt
Can teleport to a random player, leaving EMF 2 or EMF 5 at the new location
21. Shade
Evidence: EMF 5, Freezing, and Writing
Hunt Sanity: 35%
Hunt Speed: 1.7
Abilities:
Only a ghost that can appear as a shadow or translucent ghost on the summoning circle
Prefers the shadow model in events
Won’t hunt or do more events in the same room as the player
Do more events mean the lower the average sanity
22. Yokai
Evidence: Orbs, Spirit Box, and DOTS
Hunt Sanity: 50%
Hunt Speed: 1.7
Abilities:
More active when talking near it
Detection distance is less than 2.5m during hunts
23. Spirit
Evidence: EMF 5, Spirit Box, and Writing

Abilities:
Will wait 180s after being smudged to hunt again instead of the standard 90s
24. Yurei
Evidence: Orbs, Freezing, and DOTs
Hunt Sanity: 60%
Hunt Speed: 1.7
Abilities:
Only ghost that can close/interact with exit doors outside of hunt events
Smudging traps in the room for 90s
Can shut a door, and drop the sanity of nearby players by 15%
25. Gallu
Evidence: EMF 5, UV, and Spirit Box
Hunt Sanity: 40%-60%
Hunt Speed: 1.36 – 1.96
Abilities:
Can switch between normal, enraged, and enraged
Instantly after the crucifix burn
26. Obambo
Evidence: Writing, UV, and DOTs
Hunt Sanity: 10%-65%
Hunt Speed: 1.45 – 1.96
Abilities:
Hunt duration gets decreased by 20% when beginning in an aggressive state
Will switch between aggressive and calm states
27. Dayan
Evidence: EMF 5, Ghost Orbs, and Spirit Box
Hunt Sanity: 45%, 50,% and 65%
Hunt Speed: 1.2 / 2.25 and 1.7
Abilities:
33% chance to add heavy breathing with the spirit box when within 1m of a ghost
Incredibly quick hunting speed, but slows down as the target gets closer

The 1.0 update isn’t just a full release. You can expect to see some brand-new additions, new maps, ghost models, and whatnot. If that wasn’t enough, there’s also a Switch 2 version in the works alongside other things.
