Unfortunately, The Rip does not have any post credit scene. The film ends when the mystery of Captain Jackie’s death is solved, and the money is handed over to the authorities.
While we see Matt Damon’s Lieutenant Dane Dumars and Ben Affleck’s Detective Sergeant JD Byrne enjoying a drink at the end, it doesn’t lead to any post-credit scene. Instead, the film concluded with a dedication to lead consultant Jake Casiano’s late son, Jake.
As for a sequel, there have been no plans announced by Netflix or the crew. For now, the film remains a standalone crime thriller, but if it ends up being successful, who knows? Netflix might greenlight a sequel.

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have been friends since they were 10 and 8, respectively. Bonded over their love for films and desire to act, and since then have gone on to star and collaborate in multiple projects apart from the Oscar-winning Good Will Hunting.
The Rip marks their latest collaboration, in which they star as two Miami cops from the Tactical Narcotics Team. During the promotion of the film, Damon and Affleck went on TODAY and opened up about their 40-year-long friendship.
When asked about their friendship and working relationship, the duo revealed that there has never been a time when they wanted to take a break from each other. As for what makes it worse, Affleck remarked:
A lot of people have friends. We just happen to both be in the same line of work and I think that’s what rare. So we got lucky and we were kids, we really kind of bonded initially over being interested in this thing and having this absurd idea that maybe we can make our way out there and do this.
In another interview with USA Today, Damon revealed there was an incremental series of bonding moments during their childhood that brought them together. Even the director Joe Carnahan couldn’t help but remark that the two actors shared a different kind of connection and that one could feel how deeply they respect and love each other.
