Silent Hill: Revelation will begin streaming on Tubi
Silent Hill: Revelation is slated to release for free on Tubi on January 9, 2026.
Otherwise known as Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, the 2012 horror film stars several notable actors, including Kit Harington, Sean Bean, and Carrie-Anne Moss. Written and directed by M.J. Bassett, the movie is the sequel to the original 2016 Silent Hill and follows Heather Mason, played by Adelaide Clemens, who is pulled toward the foggy town on her eighteenth birthday.
Despite having a $20 million budget, Silent Hill: Revelation was mostly panned by both critics and fans. The film has an abysmally low 8% from critics and 35% from fans on Rotten Tomatoes. Still, it managed to gross about $56 million worldwide, so it was still a financially successful outing. For comparison, the first film in the franchise raked in $100 million with a budget of $50 million.
The production of Silent Hill: Revelation was rocky to say the least. The director of the first film, Christophe Gans, was originally meant to return for the sequel but he was caught up in another project. The writer for the first film, Roger Avary, was convinced to come back, but he had to serve a one-year jail sentence for vehicular manslaughter.
Gans will return as the director for the upcoming Return to Silent Hill, which will adapt the popular Konami video game Silent Hill 2. It will star Jeremy Irvin as James Sunderland, Hannah Emily Anderson as Mary, and Evie Templeton as Laura.
