The once-loved actor is facing an eviction lawsuit after he failed to pay nearly $60,000 in rent. Mickey Rourke was issued a notice of $59,100, per The Independent. Meanwhile, The Daily Mail suggests that the Iron Man 2 actor was given a three-day notice to pay the required rent, which he failed to do. The plaintiff, Eric T. Goldie, filed the case in the Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday.
Further details by the tabloid suggest that Rourke has been renting the house since March 30, when he had signed a lease for $5,200 in rent per month. However, to his shock, the monthly rent was later increased to $7,000 right in the second month of his occupancy.
It should be noted that the 2.5-bathroom home has a history with early 20th-century Los Angeles. It was once rented by novelist Raymond Chandler, and was constructed in 1926.
To the dismay of Rourke, adding to his woes, the plaintiff is also seeking the fees of his attorney, as well as to end the lease with the actor.
If you think these struggles are the first being faced by the accomplished actor, let us remind you that Rourke was kicked out of the Celebrity Big Brother house last year. This came as he showcased homophobic behaviour towards his castmate, JoJo Siwa, on the set of the aforementioned reality show.

Moreover, once experiencing the top status in the Hollywood film industry, Rourke was actually in turmoil, beginning in the 1990s. This was when he retreated from pursuing a career in acting after several dull performing films. He then went on to explore his luck in the ring. Rourke was soon a big name in the world of boxing.
However, that as well did not work for Rourke for too long, as the tiring and gruesome sports left the star with serious injuries. This soon forced Rourke to undergo reconstructive surgery.
This significantly altered his appearance a lot, totally ending his career and even a significant chance to become a romantic lead in the movies.
Yet, interestingly, this did not pull him back from making another grand and heartfelt appearance on screen. Rourke was seen playing the character of Randy Robinson in Darren Aronofsky’s sports drama film, The Wrestler. This was in 2008, which was the same year the MCU had its big bang with the first entry of Iron Man.
The Wrestler soon went on to nab the Golden Lion for Best Film at the Venice Film Festival. Meanwhile, Rourke too impressed everyone with his talents all over again, winning a BAFTA and Golden Globe Award for his role, also earning an Oscar nomination.

However, his plastic surgery was one of the reasons why Rourke was not recognised by many when a Taco Bell delivery arrived at his LA Home.
