Gachiakuta episode 16 is proof that animation is what makes an anime breathe, not just its storyline. The anime is currently at one of its highest points, with breathtaking animation and more insanity than ever. It is clear that neither the Cleaners nor the Raiders are out to play, but their interactions are too fun to ignore.

Of course, Zanka stole the spotlight in this episode, as he matched Jabber’s energy perfectly. The madness continues, and so do the epic highs of the anime. The ending of episode 16? A chef’s kiss cliffhanger.

Gachiakuta Episode 16 Features the Anime’s Wildest, Most Hilarious Moments

Right from the beginning, Gachiakuta episode 16 seems to have pledged its loyalty to madness and hilarity. Whether it is Dear’s looks of disdain or Bro and Bundus’ casual exchange of information, everything was done to maintain comedic impact with brilliant animation to boot.

Dear might be tiny, but the way he looks down on others with a face full of contempt can even scare grown-ups. Bro is apologetic for Dear’s expressions, even to his enemy, Bundus. It is wonderful how even without speaking a single word, the animation gets Dear’s distaste across.

One simply can’t forget about Bro and Bundus’ amusing exchange of information. Bro was prepared to protect his leader’s identity, only to find out Bundus wants to know Arkha’s favorite food, age, and other personal details as if he were a relative trying to catch up with his nephew’s latest tastes.

Bro realizes a bit too late that their conversation about aging makes them sound like old uncles. However, the way he tries to prevent Dear from getting dragged into late-night battles seems to indicate that the kid has something up his sleeve.

The interaction between Zodyl and Rudo also started in a sane manner, before it quickly delved into the Raiders’ leader munching on a cockroach. Rudo’s expression of disbelief, confusion, and disgust could be felt across the screen.

High-Tension Fights Have Never Been Done Better

Gachiakuta episode 16 might have featured the wildest battle of the anime so far. Jabber and Zanka’s battle is the highlight of the entire episode. Jabber has always had a loose screw, but the fact that Zanka can match his energy to some extent says a lot about the Cleaner‘s hidden monster.

The animation in the battle was crisp, with the blows delivered in the most impactful ways possible. The shot of Zanka breaking Jabber’s ribs and punching him again in the same area can make any viewer wince. This is proof that Studio Bones is putting its all into animating the series, without holding back. The movements were fluid, and the transition shots blended into each other like magic.

The battle featured clean and detailed choreography, and the movements were crystal clear. Overall, it was a visually stunning fight that is very hard to top. The close hits, the deafening impacts, the mix of slowed time and lightning-fast reflexes just made this battle pure gold.

Although Gachiakuta episode 16 hinted at Zanka’s death towards the end, this might not be the end of the character. This felt way too easy, and his brief flashback meant that there is much more to unravel in future episodes before Zanka actually runs out of fuel.
