The Invincible Season 3 finale saw Cecil Stedman‘s scientist DA Sinclair hard at work on a mysterious project. This happened while Mark Grayson was knee-deep in his brutal battle with Conquest. This project garnered considerable interest from viewers as Cecil was highly invested in its success and progress to the point of impatience. Accordingly, fans have been wondering what exactly this project is and what Sinclair was building for Cecil.
So what was DA Sinclair making for Cecil? Was DA Sinclair making an army? Here is what you need to know.
Here’s what DA Sinclair was working on in Invincible Season 3
DA Sinclair was very likely working on making ReAnimen out of the dead Invincible variants. While neither Sinclair nor Cecil openly stated that they were working on the aforementioned project, the former did mention that it would take two weeks to prepare for testing, because his test subjects had dense muscle tissue. This is a hint that Sinclair was making ReAnimen clones out of deceased Invincible variants, as Viltrumites are known for their tough skin and body composition.
Fans will thus have to wait until Season 4 to find out for certain. However, if this project comes to fruition and becomes a success, it will no doubt make the GDA one of the strongest forces on Earth.
These new ReAnimen will be much stronger than Cecil’s original versions. This is because they not only have technological enhancements but also Mark’s Viltrumite DNA. As such, they will prove highly useful if future Viltrumites or other powerful beings invade Earth and they need something in addition to Invincible to combat it.
However, there is one drawback that could make Cecil and Sinclair’s project quite risky. If the GDA loses control of these Invincible ReAnimen or if Sinclair returned to villainy, then they could cause unimaginable amounts of destruction.
If Mark Grayson finds out about this project, he will be none too happy about it. His relationship with Cecil has been strained massively ever since Mark found out Sinclair was on his payroll and that Cecil had been using his ReAnimen.
