Invincible Season 3 has finally concluded with Episode 8 and its post-credits scene teases an intriguing future for the superhero series. Accordingly, fans are wondering what happens in the after-credits scene, and are also curious about who appears in it. The third season of Invincible is jampacked with multiple new storylines. This includes Mark Grayson’s superheroic mentorship of his brother Oliver, his growing romance with Atom Eve, and Damien Darkblood investigating Omni-Man.

Who is Damien Darkblood alluding to in Invincible Season 3 Episode 8’s post-credits scene?
Damien Darkblood, the demon detective who was last seen in Invincible Season 1 Episode 4, makes a dramatic return in the Season 3 post-credits scene. He was previously exiled to hell by Cecil Stedman in that episode. This was after he correctly and successfully solved Omni-Man’s murder of the Guardians of the Globe.
In the post-credits scene, Darkblood is seen drawing a pentagram symbol to summon a being known as the Dark One, who is his master. He then asks him for forgiveness, and informs him of a “surface dweller with great power.” The demon detective then goes on to describe this being, saying it is someone the planet has not seen “in eons” and has incredibly powerful abilities. Darkblood then tells his master that the being’s blackened heart would be bound to his service.
It is currently unknown whom Darkblood was referring to. Darkwing II and an alternate evil Invincible could be possible candidates since they are both powerful beings and surface dwellers. However, Darkblood could also very likely be referring to Dinosaurus, AKA David Anders. This is because he mentions that the being is someone or something the planet has not seen “in eons.”
In the comics, Dinosaurus is a major character who initially starts out as an ally and friend of Invincible. This is because the two share a similar desire to save the world. However, Dinosaurus’ extremist tendencies eventually turn the two against one another, resulting in Invincible killing him.
