Nigerian disk jockey, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has announced the death of her maternal grandmother.
The singer said she finds comfort in the knowledge that her grandma was now “in heaven”.
Speaking via her X handle, She said she was grateful for how her grandma raised her mum, who in turn raised her.
The billionaire heiress wrote,“My mummy’s mother has passed away. I’m finding comfort knowing she’s in heaven, looking down on us with love. What a life she lived!
“I’m so grateful for the way she shaped my mum, who then shaped me. I’m praying for my very own during this sudden season of change, but we already know that our God is good all the time.
“Grandma Kaduna, your spirit lives on, guiding and comforting us #RIP.”

Meanwhile, Temi Otedola has celebrated singer Oluwatosin Ajibade, better known as Mr Eazi, on his birthday.
Temi, daughter of billionaire Femi Otedola, in her heartfelt birthday message to Mr. Eazi, also addressed the rumours of their secret marriage.
She took to Instagram to share a loving birthday message for Mr Eazi, subtly clarifying their relationship status.
In her Instagram post, Temi shared a charming photo of Mr Eazi and wrote: “Celebrating you today + every day!!! Happy birthday to my forever person, my favorite person, my soon-to-be oko.”
The phrase ‘my sooooon to oko,’ with ‘oko’ being a Nigerian term for ‘husband,’ has led to the assumption that the couple has not yet tied the knot, despite ongoing rumors about a secret wedding.
Temi also used her Instagram Story to reflect on their eight-year relationship, expressing how Mr Eazi has changed her life.
“My entire life changed when I met you. Over the last 8 years, you’ve inspired me, supported me, and continuously shown that you are the kindest soul I’ve ever come across. I’m so excited to spend the rest of your birthdays right by your side,” she wrote.
