Pilestedt shared the support link from the Japanese company, but he also stated that it was always part of the plan. Arrowhead decided to disable this step in the release, but it was always part of the Steam description as an agreement.

Many fans know that it is not Arrowhead Game Studios fault, but the anger towards Sony keeps escalating. The game’s users are waiting for a solution from either Sony or the development team. Pilestedt is trying to be as direct as he can on this sensitive subject.
The game plans to launch the new Warbond on May 9, called Polar Patriots, which will add three new weapons, three new grenades, armor, and many other things. The title was managing pretty amazing numbers before this happened; this can change every minute now, and angry players will probably be skipping the game at least for some time. There is no sign of what will happen after this big change.
