The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was released over 10 years ago and even today, gamers are exploring its massive open world. The game featured the voices of many iconic Hollywood stars, but there was one whose influence is unmatched: Max von Sydow.
The actor voiced Esbern in the game and throughout his 50-year-long career, the actor appeared in many iconic movies such as The Exorcist (1973), Never Say Never Again (1983), and Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015). The actor also played the Three-eyed Raven in the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones.

The actor unfortunately passed away in 2020, leaving behind a remarkable legacy that will inspire many aspiring actors. Apart from Sydow, Skyrim also featured some well-known stars like Moira Quirk, Christopher Plummer, Lynda Carter, Jason Marsden, and Claudia Christian.

Legendary actor Max von Sydow has showcased his talent in various franchises such as Star Wars and Game of Thrones, so hearing his voice in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was certainly exciting. The actor played the role of Lor San Tekka in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015), Three-eyed Raven in Game of Thrones, Ernst Stavro Blofeld in the James Bond film Never Say Never Again (1983), and Liet-Kynes in Dune (1984).
With his 50-year-long career, the actor established himself as one of the best actors of all time. Max von Sydow died on 8 March 2020 at his home in Provence, France at age 90. He was married to Catherine Brelet and had four sons.

Another popular Hollywood star who voiced a character in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was Lynda Carter. The iconic actress who played Diana Prince / Wonder Woman in the live-action television series Wonder Woman, voiced not one but two characters in Skyrim: Gormlaith Golden-Hilt and Azura. Not just this, Lynda has voiced Female Nords and Female Orc in multiple Elder Scrolls games.

Many Hollywood stars voiced characters in Skyrim: Jason Marsden voiced Sven the Bard, Claudia Christian voiced Aela the Huntress, and Christopher Plummer voiced Arngeir, a Greybeard elder. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is often labeled as one of the best games of all time. Thanks to its characters, immersive world design, stunning visuals, and dual-wielding combat, the game instantly became a fan favorite.
A remastered version, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Special Edition, was released for Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in October 2016, and another Special Edition was released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S as part of the compilation The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Anniversary Edition in November 2021.
The sixth main installment in The Elder Scrolls series has been in production since 2016. In 2021, game director Todd Howard confirmed that the upcoming game was in the design phase.
