It was a good day for Africans at the 2022 FIFA World Cup following the victory of the Atlas Lions of Morocco over Portugal in the third Quater final match of the competition.
Morocco had the weight of Africa on their shoulders as they were looking to become the first African team to book a spot in the Semi-final of the World Cup. However they were coming into the game with the confidence that they were yet to concede a goal scored by an opposition team heading into the Quater-final game.
En-Nesyri scored the opening goal of the competition which was enough for Morocco to advance to the final four of the World Cup. Morocco will face the winner of England vs France game for a place in the final.
