You might think the yellow ring fits best in Sinestro’s finger, right? After all, he is the one who founded and leads the Sinestro Corps. But no! Several anime villains could easily put the yellow ring to better use, which would’ve fed greatly on their ability to instill fear into their enemies.
Especially the 5 anime villains mentioned below could arguably be a more terrifying Yellow Lantern than Sinestro himself. While Sinestro’s leadership and master intellect are certainly formidable, he would not stand a chance against what these anime villains could accomplish with the power of a yellow ring.
1. Frieza’s Terrifying Presence Could Make Him a Perfect Yellow Lantern
Frieza already rules through absolute fear and intimidation, as we have seen throughout the Dragon Ball series. Due to his unimaginable power, entire civilizations and planets obey him, knowing that resisting would be futile. But of course, stronger individuals like Goku don’t listen to him. Now imagine if Frieza could get his hands on the yellow ring and become a Yellow Lantern. Not only will it allow him to control the fear in his opponents, but the ring could also provide Frieza with increased speed, agility, and enhanced senses. All that combined will easily overpower Sinestro.
2. Makima Could Comfortably Surpass Sinestro As a Yellow Lantern

As the Control Devil in Chainsaw Man, Makima already operates like a dictator. Anyone she considers inferior to her obeys her. Not only is she a mastermind, but she is also a master manipulator. Thus, her ideology of controlling every living being would greatly benefit from a yellow ring, and she could further expand her oppressive reign by harnessing the power of fear itself. Furthermore, we don’t know much about Makima’s physical strength, right? But Makima could even have superhuman strength and flight ability. Thus, there is no doubt that Makima could achieve greater feats as a Yellow Lantern than Sinestro.
3. Ragyo’s Manipulative Nature Would Pair Perfectly With a Yellow Ring

The way Ragyo operates in the Kill la Kill anime is purely psychological. She breaks her opponents’ spirits before actually breaking them. Therefore, just imagine Ragyo as a Yellow Lantern. The ring will significantly increase her physical abilities and even complement her iconic Life Fibres-based power. Now combine that with the ability to exploit fear, and could completely have full control over those around her. Especially her innate manipulative personality is what makes her one of the best candidates to become a Yellow Lantern.
4. All For One’s Ruthlessness Could Give Him an Edge Over Sinestro

All For One’s ruthless personality and thirst to conquer every Quirk in existence make him a terrifying villain in My Hero Academia. And if you think about it, if All For One had the opportunity to steal the power of a yellow ring, he could literally abuse it to further instill fear among any hero who wished to oppose him. It would’ve become ten times harder for Deku and the others to track down All For One’s version of a Yellow Lantern, as he then could even fly around. Sinestro may have years of experience as a Yellow Lantern, but he still wouldn’t stand a chance against all the quirks that All For One already possesses.
5. Orochimaru Would’ve Been an Absolute Menace With a Yellow Ring

The eerie presence and absolutely despicable persona make Orochimaru one of Naruto’s most terrifying villains. It’s as if he instills fear in others, and even the viewers, just by existing. Plus, his willingness to do anything, literally anything, in pursuit of knowledge makes him an even more sinister candidate for the Yellow Lantern title. Plus, the yellow ring would further allow him the ability of flight and grant him superhuman strength. And, of course, the ring would pair perfectly with Orochimaru’s entire personality, allowing him to directly weaponize the fear he generates among his enemies.
