The Extended Look of GTA 6 on Netflix, showcased on August 27, gave fans nearly thirty minutes of gameplay footage, and most of the headline features were spotted instantly, including Jason and Lucia’s chemistry, a mesmerizing Vice City, and a shoutout here and there.
But after a rewatch or two, if we’re being honest, a few more mechanics start to turn up that are hard to ignore once you spot them. From a returning six-star wanted meter to a minimap that renders buildings in 3D, these are the ten gameplay details buried inside Rockstar’s official reveal.
10. Six-Star Wanted Level

This is one of the more obvious mechanics on this list, but we could not afford to miss this one out for those who might have overlooked it. GTA 6 is bringing back the classic six-star system into the game for the first time since GTA 4. During the chase sequence in the extended look, the on-screen meter visibly shows that the wanted level can go up to 6 levels this time.
Unfortunately, what we did not get is a look at what this maximum level of wanted level looks like, and you will likely have to wait till November 19.
9. Stamina Replenishing Smoothies

A fridge scene in the latest material shows that there is more than just beer when it comes to beverage selection. Alongside named brands, players can grab a Blitz Berry or Blitz Green smoothie, and status icons next to certain drinks reveal that drinking these will likely restore and might even buff up different character stats of the character, including their stamina and special abilities.
8. Different Ways of Stealing Cars Based on How Old They Are

Carjacking in Grand Theft Auto 6 is no longer a one-button action. Going off what was shown, lower-end cars will likely be opened up the old-fashioned way, and that is by either forcing the lock or busting through the glass. However, newer cars in the game will likely require you to use more tech-savvy methods like key cloners.
7. Your Choices Will Affect Jason and Lucia’s Relationship

Rockstar Games has confirmed that there will be an optional relationship layer between the two leads. Small interactions, like a prompt to hold hands, and how much players invest in the pair’s bond appear to shape the concerned relationship turns out down the line.
6. You Can Go Live In-Game

In one sequence, a kidnapped NPC livestreams his own abduction to his followers while Lucia drives, complete with a scrolling chat and a prompt letting players open the stream mid-chase. It’s a small mechanic but still a nod to how much of a role social media and the streaming culture will play in Leonida’s world.
5. You Can Conceal Your Guns

Before walking into a store, Lucia is shown drawing her weapon and then tucking it out of sight so nearby NPCs won’t spot it. Given how much the new wanted system leans on witnesses and cameras, when and where a weapon stays visible looks like it will matter much beyond the moment a heist actually starts.
4. Quick Swap Accessories

The redesigned weapon wheel isn’t just for firearms. Masks, hats, and glasses will likely be cycled through on the fly using the same quick-swap menu, letting players change their look mid-mission almost as fast as they’d switch weapons. This was also something that was partially teased earlier in the CyberLeek videos, with there being different wheels in the game for the player to cycle through, helping them switch between weapons, and downing consumables, and, as just mentioned, filtering through different accessories.
3. Jason’s Special Ability Shows Critical Points

GTA 6 borrows its own version of Red Dead Redemption 2’s Dead Eye system. Activating it slows combat down and highlights color-coded weak points on enemies, such as joints and limbs, with a meter tracked below the health bar to show how much of the ability remains in a given fight.
2. Police Can Track You By Different Attributes

Law Enforcement in GTA 6 doesn’t just chase whoever is the nearest; instead, it remembers what you look like. There are different attributes that the police can track you by, with the following elements being recognised so far, thanks to the extended look.
The weapon used
Your identity
The clothes you wear
Police are on the lookout for a couple
You have been spotted on CCTV.
This will help the player recognise what the police are going off on, after which they can take appropriate measures to shake them off. A mask can keep security cameras from making an identification, and once a getaway car has been spotted, swapping vehicles becomes the next sensible choice.
1. More Realistic, 3D MiniMap

The most easily missed change might be the smallest one on the screen. The game’s minimap now renders nearby buildings in 3D as players drive past them, complete with a rough sense of how many stories each structure has, turning the simple navigating tool into a small preview of the world.
None of these details are the kind of thing that Rockstar would showcase loudly, but they still help in making the simulation feel deeper than ever. GTA 6 officially lands on November 19, and you can expect plenty more of these small touches to come into the spotlight over time.
