This comes just a day after Funko Pops revealed some new X-Men ’97 Season 2 figures, which revealed some new “Wasteland” and “X-Corp” costumes. With there also having been an announcement about a new five-issue comic set between the events of Season 1 and Season 2, it might not be too much longer before Marvel Studios fans get to see some officially released footage of X-Men ’97’s next outing.
It’s already known that X-Men ’97 will see the titular team scattered throughout time while they also have to deal with the villainous Apocalypse, as that was teased during the mid-credit scene in Season 1. What else the show, which is set in a different timeline than the main MCU, has in store for viewers, though, remains to be seen, as plot details remain under wraps at this time.
An exact premiere date for X-Men ’97 Season 2 has not yet been announced, though it is supposed to come out at some point this summer.
