It has been officially revealed where Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 fits into the MCU timeline.
The first episode of Marvel‘s Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is now available to watch on the Disney+ streaming service. Coming from showrunner Dario Scardapane, the series serves as a continuation of the Netflix Daredevil show. Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio both reprise their roles as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Wilson Fisk/Kingpin.
When does Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 take place in the MCU timeline?
Marvel Studios has officially updated its timeline, which reveals that Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is the second most-recent entry in the MCU.
The only MCU project that takes place after the new Daredevil season is Wonder Man. While the Wonder Man show didn’t rely very heavily on cameos or references to other MCU projects, this means that Yahya Abdul-Mateen II’s Simon Williams and Ben Kingsley’s Trevor Williams have not yet met or become good buds when the events of Born Again Season 2 are happening.
Beyond that, every other MCU story has happened when Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 starts. Perhaps the most interesting aspect of this is that the events of Thunderbolts* have already happened; meaning, a large portion of New York City was engulfed by The Void for a time, though it remains to be seen if the show addresses this in any substantial way.
The synopsis for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 reads, “In Season 2 of Marvel Television’s Daredevil: Born Again, Mayor Wilson Fisk crushes New York City underfoot as he hunts down public enemy number one, the Hell’s Kitchen vigilante known as Daredevil. But, beneath the horned mask, Matt Murdock will try to fight back from the shadows to tear down the Kingpin’s corrupt empire and redeem his home. Resist. Rebel. Rebuild.”
Episodes 2 and 3 of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 arrive on March 31, 2026.
