Avengers: Doomsday will have one of the largest ensembles for a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four set to unite to face off against Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom. However, that doesn’t mean that every MCU hero will be part of the action.
With reshoots set to get underway on Avengers: Doomsday this month, reports have emerged regarding which MCU alums will be filming new scenes or doing ADR work. Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Teyonah Parris (Monica Rambeau), and Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch) are three actors who were not part of the viral Doomsday cast announcement livestream who are expected to be part of the Doomsday reshoots.
While earlier reports had indicated that Tatiana Maslany’s She-Hulk would also appear in Doomsday, scooper James Mack has recently gone against that claim, offering a conflicting counter to entertainment journalist Michael Roman’s report that She-Hulk will be one of the members of Sam Wilson’s new Avengers team.
A new MCU superhero reportedly won’t be in Avengers: Doomsday despite appearing in concept art
In a new post on X, Mack responded to a fan question, confirming that Kate Bishop/Hawkeye would be in Avengers: Doomsday, while stating that “Apparently She-Hulk isn’t in the movie.” The scooper explained that the Jade Giantess was featured in concept art, which showed “her on Sam’s team, but so far she’s not in it, unless the April filming ends up adding her.”
Kate is in Doomsday, yes!Apparently She-Hulk isn’t in the movie. Last year I saw a lot of art showing her on Sam’s team, but so far she’s not in it, unless the April filming ends up adding her https://t.co/aoJf7FU5o6— James Mack (@JamesMackwl) April 2, 2026
It’s unclear if Roman’s source for She-Hulk’s inclusion in Doomsday was the concept art that Mack makes note of in his scoop. Despite being positioned as one of the new heroes of the MCU, which included her own Disney+ series, She-Hulk has not been seen since 2022.
While Maslany has expressed a lack of interest in working with Disney again, this reportedly does not extend to her relationship with Marvel Studios. Still, with Maslany absent from any official casting announcements from Marvel, her future in the MCU remains unknown for now.
If She-Hulk does end up appearing in Avengers: Doomsday, Marvel fans won’t have to wait long to see her long-awaited MCU return as the movie is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2026.
