A new Avengers: Doomsday rumor suggests Bucky Barnes could be in danger. Insider James Mack claims that Steve Rogers and Bucky will face Doctor Doom in a 2-vs-1 fight during the film’s final battle.
Mack shared the claim on Patreon, adding that the scene will reportedly resemble Steve, Bucky, and Tony Stark’s confrontation in ‘Captain America: Civil War’. The report has not been confirmed by Marvel Studios, but the rumor raises the possibility that Doom could kill Bucky.
The rumored encounter will bring together three characters with a complicated history in the MCU. Chris Evans is returning as Steve Rogers, Sebastian Stan is reprising Bucky, and Robert Downey Jr. is taking on the role of Victor von Doom. While Downey Jr. previously played one of Marvel’s biggest heroes, he will now be on the opposite side of Steve and Bucky.

The confrontation became one of the MCU’s most emotional fights, ending with Steve defeating Tony and leaving his shield behind.
Things could be very different this time. Downey Jr. will be returning as Victor von Doom rather than Tony Stark. Steve and Bucky would reportedly stand against the villain, creating a 2-vs-1 battle that mirrors the earlier showdown. If the rumor is accurate, Doom could overpower the pair and kill Bucky in the confrontation.
