Manuscripts are back in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, but they’re a bit different than what you might remember from Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Instead of giving you upgrades for just your weapon, each Manuscript grants 10 Skill Points (SP) for a specific party member. You can then use the Skill Points in that character’s Folio to unlock new abilities, Synergy Skills, Synergy Abilities, stat boosts, and other upgrades.

There are 112 Manuscripts available in total in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Like the last game, Square Enix has placed the easy ones such that you’ll get them throughout your playthrough through side quests, Moogle Emporiums, the Gold Saucer, and combat challenges.
For the remaining volumes, you’ll have to go through Hard Mode, where bosses, side quests, Classified Intel fights, and Legendary Combat Simulator challenges reward additional Manuscripts. Here’s everything you need to know about where to find Manuscripts in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
