Written by Avengers: Doomsday is set to unite the Avengers, X-Men, and the Fantastic Four so that they may face Doctor Doom together. Needless to say, Doctor Doom has been expected to get some allies of his own to face the heroes across the three worlds. There are a slew of villains in the MCU that could return to side with Doom, and some heroes who might be duped into doing so, too.
There are some villains whose stories fans would like to see finish in the MCU, and there are some heroes that fans would similarly like to see return to the MCU, especially given their extended absence from the franchise. Doctor Doom is being billed as a multiverse threat in the coming Avengers films, and he could use some help to beat the heroes assembling against him.
1. Baron Mordo Could Enact His Plan Against Too Many Sorcerers
Baron Mordo of Earth-616 decided to go on a rampage against sorcerers towards the end of Doctor Strange (2016). However, aside from a reference to Mordo making some attempts to kill Doctor Strange, the number of magic users in the MCU has only gone up. Doctor Doom is also a character who delves into sorcery and could enlist Mordo to his side, especially to take care of the sorcerer side of the MCU. This could also give Wong and the Sorcerers a more personal enemy to fight during the events of the two films, while allowing Doom to accumulate magic for himself.
2. Scarlet Witch Could Be Resurrected with the Promise of Her Children in Avengers: Doomsday
For all reasons and purposes of the narrative, Scarlet Witch is dead in the MCU after the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However, Scarlet Witch has been a popular character that fans want to see return in the MCU, and this might be the perfect opportunity.
Given that Doctor Doom is likely going to require some very strong individuals on his payroll to deal with the Avengers, and Wanda is very easily manipulated when it comes to her children, The Scarlet Witch could slot into a role similar to that of Vader, as long as she is promised her children. Tommy and Billy could also join the fight against their mother, and hopefully, turn her to the side of good.
3. Galactus Could Have Asked Doom For Franklin Richards In Exchange

Galactus wants Franklin Richards in exchange for leaving the world alone. Doctor Doom is seen interacting with the character in the post-credit scene of the film. It is already known that Franklin Richards, like in the comics, is going to be powerful and likely important to Doom fans. However, Doom might be able to get Galactus on his side by offering up Franklin. Of course, if Doom’s motivations are anything like the ones he had in the comics, he might not have to keep up his end of the bargain. However, having Galactus as an ally would definitely tip the scales in favor of Doctor Doom.
4. Ravonna Renslayer Is A TVA Employee Still Loyal To The Sacred Timeline
Kang the Conqueror might be being monitored by the TVA now, and the leadership might now defer to Loki, but Ravonna Renslayer is still stuck in the Void, encountering Alioth. She knows how the TVA works intimately and might be an asset to Doom, who might promise her that Kang (or she herself) would be restored to the TVA under his rule as God Emperor. She could be quite the asset to Doom’s cause, given how much she knows about the TVA’s ins and outs.
5. Doctor Strange Has Seen What Incursions Can Do Firsthand
Doctor Strange is currently off in the Dark Dimension. In the comics, he also serves as Emperor Doom’s sheriff. Given that he has seen what incursions can do firsthand, the idea of a mechanism to deter this might be interesting to him. Further, having witnessed a version of him make the wrong choice and a version of him having sacrificed himself, Doctor Strange might decide to side with Doom simply to keep other incursions from happening.
