Wizkid & Asake bag historic nomination at the 2026 BET Awards

Spread the love

Here is the full nomination list for the highly anticipated 2026 BET Awards hosted by popular skit maker, Druski.

Wizkid and Asake have earned a historic nomination ahead of the 2026 BET Awards after being listed in the Best Group category.

The nomination marks a major moment for Afrobeats, as two of Nigeria’s biggest global stars are being recognised together in a category traditionally dominated by established groups and duos. Their inclusion further highlights the growing influence of African music on the global stage and adds another major talking point to this year’s BET Awards nominations.

The 2026 BET Awards, hosted by popular skit maker and comedian Druski, will celebrate some of the biggest names across music, film, sports and entertainment. BET unveiled this year’s nominations on May 19, 2026, with Cardi B leading the list with six nominations.
