Zoe Saldaña confirmed via Instagram that she is now the highest-grossing film actor of all time. In a video message, she stated, “I just want to express my sincerest gratitude for the extraordinary journey that has led me to become the highest-grossing film actor of all time today.” She added that the achievement was “made possible entirely, entirely by the incredible franchises and the collaborators that I have been fortunate enough to be a part of.”

Saldaña surpassed Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson after the release of Avatar: Fire and Ash, which earned $1.23 billion globally. According to The Numbers, her films have collectively grossed $15.47 billion, placing her above all other actors at the worldwide box office. She is the first woman to star in four films that grossed over $2 billion each.
In the video, Saldaña thanked directors including J.J. Abrams, Joe and Anthony Russo, James Gunn, and James Cameron. She said to Cameron, “Thank you for believing in my potential, for seeing something in me that I have not always seen in myself, for challenging me to always rise to the occasion.” She credited these filmmakers for shaping her career and artistic growth.
Saldaña also addressed her global fanbase, saying, “Your unwavering support, passion, and loyalty are the true foundation of this milestone.
