Netflix’s upcoming limited series His & Hers is shaping up to be one of the streamer’s most intriguing psychological thrillers, adapting Alice Feeney’s bestselling novel of the same name. Built around unreliable narrators, buried secrets, and a murder that exposes the fault lines of a broken marriage, the show leans heavily into moral ambiguity.
With an A-list cast, and based on Alice Feeney’s 2020 novel of the same name, the show is already drawing comparisons to hits like The Night Agent and Sharp Objects. Here is all you need to know about it.

What Is His & Hers About?

His & Hers centers on a murder investigation that exposes the unreliability of truth when filtered through personal trauma and bias.
The story follows Anna Andrews, a journalist who left her small-town past behind. However, when she hears of a woman being brutally murdered in the same town, she rushes back only to discover that her estranged husband, Detective Jack Harper, is leading the investigation.
What follows is a dual-narrative thriller in which Anna and Jack tell competing versions of events. As the investigation deepens, so does the mystery. It becomes increasingly clear that both of them may be hiding crucial information, and the truth may lie somewhere between their stories.
Unlike traditional crime dramas, the show isn’t focused solely on whodunit but on why people choose to believe specific versions of the truth, especially about themselves.
With Alice Feeney’s novel already praised for its twists and psychological depth, fans can expect an emotionally layered performance with Tessa Thompson and Jon Bernthal.
