From December 16th, 2025, to January 6th, 2026, players must do whatever it takes to complete various seasonal objectives on various maps, all while fending off against Krampus. That’s not all, there are new limited-time mechanics, community-wide progress, and much more!

Phasmophobia’s Winter’s Jest is a community-based event, which means you, as a player, need to complete some specific objectives and goals to unlock a bunch of different rewards for everyone. The best part about this event is the fact that you don’t have to be at a specific level to jump into the spooky Holiday experience.
The way this event works is that you’ll need to earn event points, which will contribute both to achieving your personal progress and the community goals. These points can be easily gained by finding Krampus Jack-in-the-Boxes and completing Krampus’ Naughty and Nice list.
For Phasmophobia Winter’s Jest 2025, Kinetic has also added three new ghosts: Obambo, Dayan, and Gallu. We also have a total of 10 maps that are a part of the daily rotation for the event’s unique contracts. Keep in mind that only certain maps will rotate here every day. From December 16th to December 23rd, you’ll also be able to get double XP and money from every investigation you manage to complete. Once both the community and personal goal gauges manage to reach 100%, here’s what you can expect to unlock in terms of rewards –

Any player who was a part of last year’s Winter Jest event won’t get a new trophy from the Community Rewards. However, you’ll be able to upgrade the one you have right now.
Phasmophobia is Coming to Nintendo Switch 2

It’s been quite a while since the early access release of Phasmophobia, and if you’re someone who has been itching to play the game on handheld consoles all this time, then we have some good news for you! Developer Kinetic Games has confirmed that its ghost investigation game is all set to drop on Nintendo Switch 2 consoles in 2026.
From the early looks, it seems like the Switch 2 version is a full port, and not some watered-down version. Developers have also confirmed that the game will come with multiplayer and crossplay functionality. This means that you’ll be able to jump in with your friends on Xbox, Switch, PlayStation, and PC to hunt down those ghosts.
Let’s hope that Kinetic Games can soon give us a specific release date for the game on Switch 2, as the gaming community genuinely can’t wait for this drop!
