Insomniac Games sure has gotten everyone’s attention with their blockbuster Marvel universe game and their classics. While it is widely known that they’re currently working on a Wolverine game (supposed to release in 2026), we haven’t quite seen any proper gameplay footage yet.
Now, the studio is being cryptic on Twitter by dropping a scheduled post right before The Game Awards 2025. It could be nothing, yet it might not be because it would be the right moment to reveal something about the title they’re working on.

The Game Awards have always been a sacred place for us gamers because it’s more than an award ceremony, with all the amazing revelations that happen here. While there are publishers who’ve confirmed to reveal something, there’s always room for extra surprises.
Here’s Insomniac’s latest post, which raises a number of points. For starters, it could be a troll post, or another translation might suggest that they’re busy with something, so a scheduled post has been dropped.
Since Marvel’s Wolverine is already hyped enough, we can get further details at the upcoming event, maybe even a release date. But that’s only possible if it is not considered to be a coincidence.
Regardless, The Game Awards 2025 is just days away, and the timing of the cryptic post seems more than just a coincidence. The only way to find out would be by being patient and enjoying the show until Insomniac plows on us with a surprise announcement. That would be a joy to behold.
Fans Are Confused by Insomniac’s Cryptic Post
All seriousness aside, the “scheduled post” gimmick is certainly engaging, with even popular brands like Displate, JBL Quantum, and more. However, on the other hand, fans are losing their minds thinking we might get some announcement regarding Spider-Man 2 DLC or extended gameplay for Marvel’s Wolverine.

I’m glad to see I’m not the only one asking for a Venom game. But I still see you’re reluctant to speak out and are playing hard to get with us.Putting aside everything we asked of you, greetings to you too, Insomniac 🤟🏻💪🏻 pic.twitter.com/yUfEhtNoyq— Javier Sanles pacho (@PachoSanles) December 10, 2025
Fans are also requesting to know when they’d be making a new Ratchet and Clank or the Venom game. Of course, there’s no reply to any of such queries. Yet, the common phenomenon is hopes kept by fans for what Insomniac is about to do next. Be it showing up on the TGA 2025 stage to announce something or just banter, everyone is ready to join in on the fun ride.
Let’s keep our patience for a while and see what Insomniac has been cooking behind the scenes. Do you think this was a troll post, or is there an extraordinary motive behind it? Share with us in the comments below.
