Following much speculation, the release date for the first Avengers: Doomsday trailer has been confirmed.
Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday is now in post-production. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, also known as the Russo Brothers, the movie is scheduled to arrive in United States theaters next year. The sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, will then be released in 2027.
When will the Avengers: Doomsday trailer be released?
There have been many rumors floating around that the first Avengers: Doomsday trailer will be attached to 20th Century Studios’ Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Collider is now confirming that the Avengers: Doomsday trailer will indeed be shown before James Cameron’s next Avatar movie, unless that “decision could change over the next month.” This would make sense given that Doomsday will be released almost exactly one year from Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Avatar: Fire and Ash hits theaters on December 19, 2025. Whether or not the Doomsday trailer will be immediately released online remains to be seen.
The big question that now arises is when the first trailer for Spider-Man 4, also known as Spider-Man: Brand New Day, will be released. There have been some rumors that Spider-Man 4’s trailer will also play in front of Avatar: Fire and Ash; however, Brand New Day is also scheduled to come out in July 2026, approximately four and a half months before Doomsday. There’s been no official word from Sony or Marvel on when it will be released, as of yet.
Plot details for Avengers: Doomsday remain under wraps at this time. Avengers: Doomsday arrives on December 19, 2026, as part of Phase 6 of the MCU. Avengers: Secret Wars follows on December 17, 2027.
