The entirety of Dispatch has been a banger, and both latest episodes have been amazing. However, the end of episode 5 gives you a harsh decision of telling the entire team whether you’re Mecha Man or not. While both options seem valid, which one should you take?
Spoiler Alert !!!Contains major spoilers for Dispatch episode 5 and minor ones for episode 6.
Dispatch Episode 5: What Happens if You Disclose Yourself as a Mecha-Man to the Entire Z-Team?
Right from the start of Dispatch episode 5, many team members catch on that Robert was a hero in the past. Now, of course, he was strictly asked not to, but it doesn’t go the easy way with Z-Team.
Since it’s the weekend at SDN, Robert gets asked to visit a villain bar named Sardine, and it goes as chaotically as it can be. It wouldn’t be a classic team-building exercise if it didn’t end with a solid bar fight. However, at the end of it, Z-Team genuinely asks Robert who he was.
Provided Mecha-Man has a rift with Flambae and Robert is scared of being incinerated, being truthful is certainly a choice due to plot armor. If you choose to reveal that you were Mecha-Man, it’s natural that Flambae will get furious and try to kill you.
Surprisingly, the Z-Team takes it kindly with you and gets protected by the rest of the members (especially Waterboy). The consequences can be seen the next morning because Flambae doesn’t show up to work, which causes a lot of trouble during the next episode.
But again, you gain some and you lose some. The entire Z-Team becomes respectful of Robert because he is a genuinely top-tier superhero while they’re trying to be one. Another wholesome thing that happens is everyone shows up during Robert Mecha Man suit testing the next morning, because everyone wants to see him become what he’s meant to be, and that’s Mecha.
Also, it’s pretty wholesome that everyone shows up at Robert’s place for a housewarming, because he had been spending a lonely life all along. It’s a nice change of pace, and eventually Flambae shows up too, but he only ends up punching Robert because of their rift in the past. In the end, it’s all well and good after being honest.

A calmer approach would be lying to the team about Robert’s past as Mecha Man because it would appease everyone. Robert simply introduces himself to everyone as him being a dispatcher, and the real heroes are the Z-Team. Not only does it make the room lighter, but there’s no dissolution in the end, which is good.
However, it’s still a lonelier path because the next morning, only Inivisigal, Royd, and Chase show up during the Mecha Man suit testing. Either way, at the end of the day, the entire team shows up at Robert’s place for a housewarming party and figures out a way to gain back the Astral Pulse.
I suppose it’s safe to assume that everyone is aware of Robert’s old identity by now, as everyone seems to be planning to reclaim it. The only exception is Flambae, because he arrives too late at the party. Either way, there’s no wrong option here. But, Flambae might not take it kindly if Robert becomes Mecha Man again.
Which option do you prefer more? Introducing yourself as just Robert, or is it better to let off your secret to the entire Z-Team? Share with us in the comments below.
