The Illustrious Career of Diane Keaton, at a Glance

Growing up in the entertainment capital of the world, Los Angeles, Keaton began her career on the stage, gaining attention in the original Broadway production of Hair. Her moment came when she was cast by Woody Allen in the Broadway play Play It Again, Sam in 1969.

But in the film industry, she had her first breakthrough with her performance as Kay Adams-Corleone in the legendary The Godfather trilogy. Her casting in the film even shocked her at first, as she didn’t expect to make the cut at all, even at one time forgetting what it was all about.

Since then, her career has been strapped to a rocket. She has made many successful films, like Annie Hall, Something’s Gotta Give, and The First Wives Club. For her role in the film Reds, she also received an Oscar nomination, while Annie Hall helped her receive an Oscar award in the Best Actress category.

And with her recent passing, she may have gone to a better place now, but her legacy will be remembered for years to come.
