As fans express their concerns about Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s friendship amidst Blake Lively’s ongoing legal troubles, here’s an update: The Deadpool star is extending his full support to Jackman, and the Wolverine star is fully reciprocating it.

In his recent Instagram Stories, Reynolds re-shared a post from The Greatest Showman, adding the tag ‘#FromNewYorkWithLove’ on it. In the post, Jackman was seen busy thanking all his fans for attending his show at the Radio City Music Hall, and sharing that singer-songwriter Pink will soon be joining him at the show on September 20.

In response, Jackman took to his Instagram Stories to reshare the story, with pink animated hearts dominating a space alongside the place where Reynolds’ handle name was visible. Also, for the record, Jackman is currently busy delivering high-energy performances featuring songs from his most beloved roles at the Radio City Music Hall, and the post was about the same.

That said, currently, it appears that everything is, in fact, going as merry as ever between the Deadpool & Wolverine co-stars, even when other close friends seem to be distancing themselves from Lively and Reynolds amid their It Ends with Us lawsuit.

Hugh Jackman Was Previously Reported to Be on Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ Side

Hugh Jackman was previously reported to be firmly standing in Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s support in the wake of their ongoing legal drama with Justin Baldoni. As an insider claimed to In Touch in May this year, when Jackman was speculated to possibly be called to testify in court,

If this actually goes all the way to court and Hugh is forced to take the stand, there’s no question he will step up. At this point, Ryan is like a brother to him; he will have his back no matter what it takes.

The source added that the Logan actor is “well aware” of Baldoni’s legal team “threatening to depose him,” but has “no issue with it, because there’s nothing to hide. He’s got no doubt about Ryan and Blake’s conduct, and is 100% on their side.”

And, if that wasn’t enough, the insider further claimed that Jackman might as well be “excited” to be able to help the pair out in some way, simply because he “hates seeing the stress that Ryan and Blake are under right now.” The source said,

It sickens him that they’re being dragged through the mud when, in his view, they’re the victims in all of this. He’s being very supportive behind the scenes, and he’s already defending them to anyone who will listen, so going in front of the court is no worry for him.

While that’s that, it’s worth remembering that these were only claims from insider sources, so they might as well be taken with a pinch of salt. As of currently, Jackman hasn’t been officially called to court or served with a subpoena with respect to the Lively-Baldoni lawsuit.

Hugh Jackman Did Throw Subtle Shade at Ryan Reynolds Earlier This Year, Though

There’s more: Even earlier this year, in April, Hugh Jackman really made headlines as he shocked fans with his subtle shade at Ryan Reynolds while still at the Radio City Music Hall. This happened in the midst of his show, From New York, With Love.

In the video obtained by the Daily Mail, Jackman proclaimed that he “loved” filming Deadpool & Wolverine and had the “time of my life,” but had “one little gripe”: That he was left out of the musical number at the beginning of the 2024 Marvel flick, where Reynolds’ dance double gave an epic dance performance to NSYNC’s hit song, Bye Bye Bye.

This hit him especially hard because Jackman is already an established song and dance man in Hollywood. He joked at the event,

Don’t tell Ryan… I don’t need to be in every scene in the movie. But Ryan is a writer. And when I see the script, I see that the scene that I’m not in is the opening sequence, which is a dance number to an *NSYNC song by Ryan. I’m like, the one scene I’m not in has dance. Now, Ryan, he’s very talented, but dancing? There is no way I would try and match Ryan’s dance double Nick Pauley… because the guy’s like 25 years old.

Then he went on to perform “the dance that got away” with his trainer and former dancer Beth Lewis on stage, and the crowd went wild.

But, of course, this was only a joking dig that Hugh Jackman took at his beloved friend, with no hard feelings involved. So, for now, it might as well be believed that he is, in fact, very much still on Reynolds’ side, until the actor himself confirms otherwise through his words or actions. Don’t you agree?
