His Scottish heritage plays a significant role in his persona and is frequently incorporated into his entrance themes and promotional material. Joe Hendry carved out a distinctive and varied career before entering the WWE spotlight, skillfully fusing marketing, music, and top-tier athleticism. Hendry was the lead singer of the rock group Lost in Audio, and according to an interview with Slam Wrestling, he was on the verge of signing a record deal with Sony.
His stage experience would later contribute to his captivating wrestling persona, which included original entrance anthems like the beloved “I Believe in Joe Hendry.”
Beyond the stage, Hendry has a Master’s degree in Business and Marketing from Heriot-Watt University, which has given him a keen grasp of promotion and branding, which he has skillfully incorporated into his wrestling career.
He represented Scotland at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and earned medals in both freestyle and Greco-Roman disciplines at the British Senior Championships, establishing himself as a legitimate and accomplished athlete.

Hendry made his professional wrestling debut in 2013, steadily building his name across top promotions such as ICW, Ring of Honor, and Impact Wrestling. He even made brief cameo appearances in WWE as an extra before officially signing with the company.
The next big step in Joe Hendry’s wrestling career is clear: securing a spot as a full-time, main roster WWE Superstar. Considering the talent, charisma, and in-ring ability he’s consistently showcased, it’s no longer a question of if, but when, WWE officially integrates him into their long-term plans.

Joe Hendry may join the WWE main roster sooner rather than later. After making an unexpected debut in the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble, he made a high-profile appearance at WrestleMania 41 as Randy Orton’s mystery opponent. Hendry received praise for his spirits even before fighting Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41.
Because of the continued relationship between WWE and TNA, Hendry has since established himself as a regular on WWE NXT, the company’s developmental roster.
Multiple reports suggest that WWE management is thoroughly impressed with Hendry’s blend of creativity, professionalism, and in-ring talent. He’s widely regarded as a near-lock to sign officially with WWE once his current TNA contract expires, reportedly later this winter.
Although an earlier plan for a Raw feud with The Miz was shelved due to creative differences, Hendry’s upward trajectory hasn’t wavered.
According to Fightful Select, earlier this year, the former TNA World Champion was proposed to appear on Monday Night Raw, but the idea was rejected by Ariel Shnerer, the TNA Executive Producer at the time. The creative might have started a feud with The Miz after Hendry’s defeat on WWE Raw.
While he hasn’t officially joined the main roster full-time just yet, all signs point toward that becoming a reality soon. If the momentum continues, Hendry could be a permanent fixture on Raw or SmackDown as early as 2026.
