Moon Knight is one of the most unique characters in all of Marvel Comics. The chosen champion of the Egyptian moon god Khonshu, Mark Spector has battled mental illness as much as he has various villains. This July, Mark will face a new villain, just in time for two major milestones in his monthly comic.

2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the creation of Moon Knight. The Fist of Khonshu first protected those who travel at night back in 1975’s Werewolf by Night #32. He was created by writer Doug Moench and artist Don Perlin.

Coincidentally, this anniversary coincides with the publication of the 250th monthly comic to star the champion of Khonshu. To honor both milestones, Marvel has announced that Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #10 will be an oversize issue. Beyond introducing the new villain, the issue will also feature a variant cover by legendary artist Stephen Platt.

Who is the new villain in Moon Knight #250?

The new villain is known as Artemis Fairchild. No details have been given about the character or their powers. Beyond their name, all that is known is that their climactic battle with Mark Spector will yield a new beginning for the heroes of the Midnight Mission.
