Grammy Award-winning artist Wizkid has shared his love for two popular Nigerian soups, egusi and efo, in a recent interview.
When asked to choose between the two, the Ojuelegba crooner expressed his fondness for both. He said, “Mo feran efo ati egusi” in Yoruba, which translates to “I love efo and egusi.”
Meanwhile, Wizkid elaborated that his preference for the Nigerian soups is heightened when they are prepared with “Eja too bad,” meaning nice fish. Also, the music star showcased his humorous side by exclaiming “Allahu Akbar” as he described his favorite soups. This left fans amused.
Additionally, this lighthearted moment offers a glimpse into Wizkid’s personality beyond his music. Lastly, it showed his appreciation for Nigerian cuisine and his ability to connect with fans on a personal level.
