Rema has unlocked a new achievement for African music on the end of the year global chart of 2023 for the digital streaming platform, Apple Music.

The singer’s hit song Calm Down was the highest-ranked African song on Apple Music’s Top 100 global end of the year chart for the year 2023. The chart which was released alongside replays for its users today, Tuesday, November 28, 2023, revealed the top 100 songs by country and on a global scale after it computed data from November 1, 2022, to October 31, 2023.

This is of no surprise as Calm Down charted at the end of the year list in over 7 countries. Here are the countries below:

Apple revealed that the list comprised of the highest charting songs for the year 2023, Calm Down remix held the number 12 spot on the list with Tems being the other African artist alongside Rema to hold a position on the list with her collaboration with Future, Wait For U.
