Tatsuki Fujimoto has done an excellent job in creating such a masterpiece.

Tatsuki Fujimoto has other works before Chainsaw Man. But it is because of his latest creation that he has gained such fame. Chainsaw Man chapter 147 was released a few days back, and the story keeps building to a greater evil. But an exciting thing was noticed in the latest chapter. Tatsuki Fujimoto paid homage to one of his previous works in the chapter, and it did not go unnoticed.

Yogen no Nayuta Reference in Chainsaw Man Chapter 147
Yogen no Nayuta

Chainsaw Man chapter 147 references one of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s previous works, Yogen no Nayuta. The story of Yogen no Nayuta is about a small girl named Nayuta, who was prophesized to bring along the apocalypse. She was born with two devil horns, a wicked tongue, and lacked a human heart. Due to her devilish features, the public treated her as an outcast and detested her due to her magic powers.

Her parents died soon after her birth. The only person that cared for her was her brother, Kenji. Nayuta was branded a witch by the public and brought terrible luck wherever she went. Even after such ill things, Kenji never left her side. Ultimately, they went to a far land and lived there together. Yogen no Nayuta is a one-shot manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto.
Barem Bridge calls Nayuta a Witch in front of Denji

In the latest chapter of Chainsaw Man manga, Barem Bridge branded Nayuta as a witch since she has the powers of the Control Devil. And just like Kenji, Denji protected her while Barem Bridge ordered the humanoid Chainsaw Devil army after her. The fans saw this part as a homage to Yogen no Nayuta.

Barem’s main motive is to Denji run wild like his older days and wreak havoc. He wanted them to get stronger to take down the Death Devil. Tatsuki Fujimoto has been able to keep the suspense, and there has been no drop in his levels. Apart from such characters and plot, the reference to Yogen no Nayuta is a delicious treat for the fans.

For the moment, there has been no official confirmation about the reference. So, it is just the fans speculating it. But it has many uncanny similarities with Tatsuki Fujimoto’s previous one-shot manga. There might be more references in the upcoming manga chapters.
