8 Things We’d Like to See in GTA 6

powered by Dotifi & WWW.ADNG.NG

After years of speculation and rumors, we finally have an official word from Rockstar Games regarding their latest work in the Grand Theft Auto series. In a heartfelt message on the Rockstar Newswire website, Sam Houser expressed his excitement regarding the next GTA, and how Rockstar will celebrate its 25th year anniversary by showing us the first trailer for the game in early December.

Now that we can legitimately be hyped for the upcoming game, there are quite a few things we’d like to see in GTA 6, from smaller details to larger changes that will honor the game’s legacy as well as show off its potential on current-gen consoles and PCs.

8. A Larger, Ever-Evolving Map

A larger, ever-evolving map would be ideal for the next game.

There are few things in life that give the same kinda joy as cruising through the roads, seas, and skies of a gorgeous virtual world while listening to the radio that’s been blasting your favorite songs. We’ve all had our share of ‘driving next to the beach in Vice City while listening to Billie Jean’ moments, and we’d like to have more of those in GTA 6.

That being said, a well-structured map with multiple cities to explore as well as a return to older places like San Andreas and Vice City might be asking too much… but we’re here out of optimism and faith in Rockstar’s ability to craft wonderful open-world experiences. Furthermore, a map that evolves over time, adding new locations with weather conditions that switch up real-world events? The cherry on top.

7. Side-Missions and Characters That Breathe Life Into GTA 6

Some GTA characters are often the ‘life of the party’, and we’d like to see more of them.

Rockstar has masterful storytelling skills, we all know that. But sometimes, the devil between the storylines is what makes a world much more interesting. That granny who needs your help getting a kitten out of a tree, while she’s on drugs. Or, that dude who needs you to go and murder his best friend for very valid reasons. Sure, why not? None of this may seem directly connected to the man story, but it gives you a better idea of how tragic, funny, and hopeless GTA 6’s rich world might be.

5 Things We Want To See Included in GTA VI

Moreover, it’s good to take a break from heavy story missions and be a part of the smaller yet important narrative that builds over time in the game. Take it from the NPCs from Red Dead Redemption 2. They have their own routines and work to worry about, but add so much to the dynamic world around the protagonist. Their own stories and dialogues make the world feel alive and fascinating, never taking away from the overall experience.

6. More Vehicles, More Customisation

More customizable vehicles? Yes, please.

GTA V had an impressive selection of vehicles. Bikes, cars, planes, helicopters – you name it! Furthermore, they could be customized in order to make the drive-throughs and adventures unique to the player’s experience. In the context of GTA Online, these would be rewards and personalization the player would look forward to, impressing others (as well as their own egos) in order to progress through the criminal underworld. Or sometimes, just for the heck of it.

In GTA 6, we’d like to see more fine-tuning, custom decals, community-based paint jobs, and more. Come on Rockstar, make us feel like an arm-chair mechanic. After all, GTA 6 might just turn out to be the living fantasy of every car enthusiast and virtual racer ever.

We’re not asking the devs to reinvent the wheel here. Just let us make the wheels look prettier.

5. Improved Cop AI and Police System

Better cop AI would ensure more high-risk-high-rewards gameplay.

Back when the leaks for the game surfaced on the internet, one of the most noticeable features in GTA 6 was how cops behaved around the players. From surrounding the location and carefully taking cover to behave in more realistic ways compared to previous games, it’s safe to say that GTA 6 will indeed have a better police system in place. In fact, we’d like to see more than just 5 stars as we cause havoc among civilians and terrorize entire cities.

GTA 6 Officially Being Introduced by Rockstar Games, First Trailer to Arrive in December

Adding to this, it’d be nice to see a system that keeps track of the protagonists’ behavior throughout the game. Something like the Wanted System in Red Dead Redemption 2, but on a more serious scale. Implementing a morality system into this would make things even better, as your actions (among NPC actions) would eventually add to the main storyline, making players choose between right and wrong decisions even when they’re simply exploring the world.

4. Interactive Interiors and NPCs

Customizable interiors with added NPC interactions would be great.

Ever since the popularity of Bully, we’ve had the joy of interacting with NPCs directly or indirectly. If greeting NPCs and being nice to them isn’t your thing, then perhaps antagonizing them might make you feel a thing or two. Sometimes heated interactions might lead to a fistfight, name-calling, or downright murder.

With GTA 6, we’d love to see more of those, and perhaps dialogue options and detailed interactions with any NPC we’d interact with in the vast open world. Speaking of which, detailed interiors would make the gameplay experience twice as realistic. Imagine cruising through the city, spotting an interesting building, and entering it without thinking about it twice. GTA V sure had a lot of buildings, but only a few of them had fully realized interiors with activities inside.

The world will certainly feel more vibrant and realistic with interactions like these. Maybe this can even prompt players to spend more time in the open world honing their character’s day-to-day identity and blending into the world better, instead of relying only on main missions to progress through the game’s narrative.

3. Businesses and Furnishings

Investing in new ventures and personalizing them would be awesome.

GTA V gave us an interesting element that let us build an empire. Especially when we think about GTA Online. However, it barely scratched the surface of what it could mean to truly become a kingpin of the criminal underworld. Imagine if GTA 6 would let us build factories, manufacture illegal products and services, form gangs that would do the dirty work, and so on.

GTA 6 Reportedly Has Taken One Major Inspiration from Another Ubisoft Masterpiece That Can Change the Franchise Forever

Furthermore, upon purchasing assets, it would be cool to be able to customize its interiors and place furniture as well as be in charge of designing entire interiors. Why not play as an architect once in a while in a game that lets you be pretty much anyone you want?

An interesting addition to this would be blending single-player and online experiences when it comes to assets. Whatever the player does impacts the ongoing world of GTA 6, eventually impacting other players’ experiences when they choose to play online. Something like this could be felt in the large open world of Death Stranding.

2. More Mini-Games

Arcade-esque games within the large open world would make for great distractions.

Some of you might remember playing GTA: Chinatown Wars, where hotwiring a car or selling drugs made its way into fun mini-games that made the overall experience so much better. In fact, games like Yakuza do open-world mini-games really well, and that’s where Rockstar can derive some inspiration from.

Playing darts, mini-golf, tennis, and other stuff is fun, sure. But there can be so much more GTA 6 can make use of, especially how far modern tech and gameplay mechanics have come. In case the game has beautiful oceans and valleys to explore, think about activities like surfing and paragliding. How fun would it be to race against NPCs (or other players) in short, arcade-like experiences? Or maybe being able to play bedtime games like Truth or Dare? In your apartment with other players.

1. Environmental Attacks

On top of environmental attacks, adding more melee combat options would be great.

Imagine you’re in the middle of a fistfight with someone who is really, really annoyed. And right next to them is an open oven, heated up and large enough to sizzle up your opponent. If you’ve played games like Sleeping Dogs, the urge to throw your enemy off into a deadly environmental situation, or pick something from the vicinity to make their life miserable is an obvious instinct.

Given the size and complexity of GTA 6, we’d expect such animations to be a part of the combat system. Furthermore, hand-to-hand combat can be more detailed and expanded a bit further then basic kicks and punches. We’re not asking for martial arts, but being brutal about disarming or knocking out an enemy with environmental attacks would be exciting.

These are a few of the many things we’d like to see in GTA 6, even though we’re sure Rockstar is creating an experience worthy of reliving, regardless of what’s being added and what will be missing.
